The New Cycle



We all (at least most of us) feel excited at the beginning of a new year because we think we have more 364 days to joke around - which we have believed to be a very long time.

Why do we have to always wait for that long to have that excitement?

Why do we have to wait that long to make that needed resolution?

Why do we have to wait that long to make the changes we most desperately need to make our own lives better?

We allow ourselves to wait until for 365/366 days to be over to start thinking about our lives again... Hmmmmm... To me, doing this, only makes me feel more pathetic about myself.

Why do we have to wait for 365 days to make resolutions or feel excited or make adjustments when we can do it in every 7 days?

Now, the irony of this is astonishing. We feel bad, really bad and sometimes just thinking about the fact that it's the beginning of a new week. Every week leads us to a new year - we only need about 52 weeks to get a new year - meaning we make ourselves feel really bad for 52 new weeks and give ourselves the permission to feel excited and good for one day - the new year. 

We can redefine our cycle of happiness, our cycle of decision, our cycle of commitment by change what we call a cycle of new beginning. Your new year feelings and excitement can start any time if you decide to change your cycle of new beginning.

We all have different definition for a new year, but looking at it very well, what is a new year in essence? What is the year you are in right now? The year you are in right now was once celebrated as a new year and we are so carried away with this new year mindset that we render the present year as being useless to some extend.

A new year is just the next day after 31st of December of any year. It is still another 24 hours. It does not change you all of a sudden

I am not against celebrating the beginning of a year, I just want us to put things in perspectives -

My Own Best Friend

By making yourself better, by challenging and growing yourself, you can contribute to the lives of others, you can create value in the lives of others. I make these videos, make my audio recordings - I have to repeatedly check out myself, how I sound, how others will perceive me and criticize me, the errors and mistakes therein. If I don't do these things I won't get to the point of self discovery, self appreciation and self actualization. Earn that Name or Title

Whatever you are or whatever you think you are, if you aren't earning it everyday then you are just lying to yourself If you are being called a teacher and you are not willing to earn it everyday, then you are deceiving yourself and those around you who call you teacher You are father/dad and you don't do what a father/dad is supposed to do, you are just an imposter, you know who you are and definitely you know you aren't a father/dad The work, the effort, the will and the energy - all what you do make you and that's the title you deserve not the one someone else gave you.
