People want those that will take it easy on them - those that will pet them, those that are not bold enough to tell them the truth. Sometimes in many cases most times, we need to hear that painful truth to make us uncomfortable and make us sit up. When the house is on fire, you don't need someone that will give you a gentle touch to wake you up. When you are about to be hit by a car you don't need that person that will softly call on you to leave the road - what you need is that person that will push you out of the road (and if you fall in the process, you will rise again) but at least you have not been hit by the car. The truth is the truth. It helps to know the truth and it doesn't have to be palatable always. Be truthful and if it hurts being truthful, change what you don't like. Be willing to break. Be willing to scatter yourself and rebuild. That is how you achieve your goals. Don't go about with a fixed mindset more especially when you have been doing the same thing for a long time and it is not working. It is the process of breaking and rebuilding that you can discover the hidden treasures within you. Don't be afraid of change. Don't be afraid to fall down. Don't be afraid to fail. Sometimes knowing the negatives helps us in knowing the positives. It is in the process of pain, hardship and difficulties and challenges that we discover who we are (in earnest) and what we are capable of doing. I wasn't born into privilege is an excuse I see fly around every here and there. No one is born into privilege and no one is born out of privilege. It is all about perspective - it's all about how you look at it. We are all born into privilege.  I was born into life - that is privilege. I was born having a mother and a father, that is privilege. I was born having one eye, to me, it is privilege. I was born without parents but I was adopted, that is still a privilege. Appreciate what you have and take advantage of the resources at your disposal and make good use of what you have and what you are born into. Stop saying you aren't born into privilege - well if you have to say it, it shouldn't be your excuse, but a motivation. Create a privilege with the privilege of life you have. Life is the membership card to the club of the privileged. 

By making yourself better, by challenging and growing yourself, you can contribute to the lives of others, you can create value in the lives of others. I make these videos, make my audio recordings - I have to repeatedly check out myself, how I sound, how others will perceive me and criticize me, the errors and mistakes therein. If I don't do these things I won't get to the point of self discovery, self appreciation and self actualization. Looking for the opinions of others to validate my work and support my unhealthy ego will not help me. We belittle ourselves and sabotage our chances of doing great work when we are so desperate for the approval of others. Investing in yourself is the best way we can contribute to our lives, our families and our societies. You don't attract what you want, you attract who you are. If you are eating your food and there is no salt or no enough salt in it, why complain? You are not going to be eating that food forever. Just go ahead and eat the food (like there is salt in it) and move ahead - and move on with your life. Why waste time complaining. You have been eating food with salt for many days and years why not be grateful for those days and years and forget about the one (the one experience) where you have no salt in your food. Complaining serve us no good. Trying to solve a problem do us good. The name of the game is offering solution - not complaining. When it's going right, thumbs up, when it's not going right - don't kill yourself or the other person - crosscheck and correct.  Life goes on, it won't stop for you to complain. Live it when it is good and find the courage to keep living when it's bad.
